In 1608 woonde hij op Jarlastate te Wetsens.

Tjaert is getrouwd 1609, 3e pr.22-11-1609 gerecht Bolsward, met Tjalck Hoytesdr van Hoytema, overleden 7 feb 1639, begraven Witmarsum ,grafschrift, dochter van Hoyte van Hoytema en Bauck van Aylva.
Zie GJB 1995-156.
Tjalck met haar tweede man genoemd bij verkoop (GJB 2001-139).
Tjalck was later gehuwd met Hette Jelckes van Hobbema, overleden 1 mei 1667 ?, begraven Witmarsum ,onleesbaar grafschrift.
