    Geschiedenis:
    Naar het vroegere stadsdeel "De Heurne" ((14 augustus 1889 en 27 april 1899 voormalig Enschede en 10 februari 1942).
    De bij besluit van 14 augustus 1889 vastgestelde naam "Heurne" werd op 27 april 1899 gewijzigd in "Wilhelminastraat".
    Op last van de Duitse bezettings-autoriteiten (2e Wereldoorlog 1940-1945) moest deze naam worden gewijzigd en kwam hiervoor op 10 februari 1942 de naam "Heurnestraat" in de plaats.
    Op 3 augustus 1945 werd deze naam weer gewijzigd in "Wilhelminastraat".
