Notes about Arie van Schaik

Died in 1814 aged 63: calculated birth year of 1751. Resident of Schalkwijk at the time of his RC wedding, no witnessed recorded.

No records from Schalkwijk for the birth of an Arie or Adrianus van Schaik in 1751. His middle name Rommertsz led me to check the Jutphaas records, and there is one record of a baptism: born Nedereind, baptism witnessed by Arie van Schaijk. But I may be wrong. No parents' names in the record of his death, when he is 63, whilst he should have been 58 if he is Romert van Schaik and Jannetje Bongenaar's son.

Alternative parents for a calculated birth year of 1751 (aged 63 at death in 1814): a) Steven van Schaik and Grietje Tukker, who have a son Adrianus baptised in Schalkwijk on Aug 29, 1753; b) Antonie van Schaik and Cornelia van Vriesland, who have a son Adrianus baptised in Schalkwijk on Dec 6, 1748. No baptism of an Arie or Arij in the right timeslot.

Born Nedereind. RC baptism witnessed by Arie van Schaijk. He may be the same Arie as the one married to Jacomijn Brouwer.
