Voor die tijd was ze heel actief: zwemmen en lopen, de hervormde vrouwenclub, helpen op de Borkel, enz. Zij ondernam het nodige en legde de contacten.

Vanaf haar trouwen gewoond aan de Ravensweerdsweg. Eerst in het bijzijn van oma, die

min of meer de scepter zwaaide. Pa was altijd aan het werk, dus zij zorgde voor de kinderen op

een gezellige en goede manier. Ze was er altijd voor mij. Veel bewondering voor haar gehad. Een

prima moeder, maar veel te jong gestorven.
