Notes about Christina van Mirlaer

Christina van Mierlaer, vermeld 1372-1381. Christina was getrouwd met Roelman van Ahrenthal, heer van Ahrenthal (nabij Sinzig in de Eifel).
Christina erfde in 1372 de heerlijkheid Well en goederen te Horst van haar overleden broer Jan van Mierlaer en bracht zo Well aan de familie van Ahrenthal.
De oudste zoon van Roelman en Christina, Hendrik van Ahrenthal, erfde Ahrental.
De tweede zoon, Salentijn van Ahrenthal, kreeg de heerlijkheid Well en goederen te Horst.
Hun dochter Agnes zag in 1375 af van alle aanspraken op de erfenis.
Hun dochter Mechtild was abdis van het klooster Gravendael. Salentijn was getrouwd met Mechtild van Broekhuizen, een zus van Johanna van Broekhuizen (de vrouw van Jacob VI van Mierlaer).
Met Roelman van Ahrental liep het slecht af.
Toen hij in 1380 samen met de aartsbisschop van Keulen en edelen uit de omgeving Kerstmis vierde op de burcht van de aartsbisschop werd hij tijdens een ruzie dood gestoken.
