    Anna Lierens was getrouwd met een niet-joodse man, met wie zij zeven kinderen kreeg: Lucas, Samson en vijf kinderen die de oorlog overleefden. Voor de oorlog was het echtpaar reeds gescheiden en drie kinderen kwamen bij Anna te wonen. Lucas en Samson woonden in het Pedagogium Achisomog, een speciale afdeling van het Apeldoornse Bos. De andere twee kinderen woonden elders.
    Anna Lierens werd tijdens een razzia opgepakt en naar Auschwitz gedeporteerd. Twee van haar kinderen waren om een boodschap gestuurd en troffen bij thuiskomst het jongste kind, een blonde baby, in de wieg aan. Zij hebben, gedrieën, door onderduik de oorlog overleefd.
