    Funeral services for Lena Combee, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gillies Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Ernest Francis officiating. Burial will be in Monumenta Cemetery.

    Mrs. Combee died Sunday in Bellingham. She had lived at 107 B.C. Ave., Lynden.

    She was born July 21, 1899, in Holland and moved to the Lynden area in 1919, where she lived for 67 years. She married Lambert Combee on Aug. 28, 1920, in Lynden. He died in 1978.

    She had been a member of the Word of Life Church in Lynden.

    Survivors include five daughters, Dena Fishbourne of Lynden, Annie Keck, Leona Workman and Jennie Newell of Bellingham, and Mary Ann Campbell of Salem, Ore.; a sister, Jennie Rupke of Lynden; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

    Memorials may be made to Mark Buntain Missionary Ministry, c/o Word of Life Church, 200 S. B.C. Ave., Lynden, WA 98264. Arrangements are by Gillies Funeral Home.
