    Andrew Dragt a resident of Strathmore, died in Visalia Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Christian Reformed Church in Visalia. A Christian service will be held at Trinity Christian Reformed Church in Visalia at 10:30 a.m., with the Reverend Adrian Dieleman officiating.

    Mr. Dragt was born on August 3, 1934, in Friesland, The Netherlands, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1950. He participated in the family dairy business in Escondido for many years. He served in the U.S. Army.

    He was a member of Trinity Christian Reformed Church in Visalia. He had a large extended family and enjoyed attending its many functions and celebrations. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed working with his many horses and riding in the mountains. He drove his Friesian horses in many local parades. He was well known and liked at the local coffee shops, where he was a regular patron.

    He is survived by all of his nine brothers and sisters and their spouses: Edna Brower of Visalia and her husband, Ed, Peter Dragt of Visalia and his wife, Anna, Nell Bosman of Visalia and her husband, Frank, Rena DeJong of San Marcos and her husband, Pete, William Dragt of Strathmore and his wife, Rheta, Harold Dragt of Hanford and his wife, Jeanette, Grace Prins of Modesto and her husband, Cor, Henry Dragt of Washington and his wife, Jane, and Earl Dragt of Washington and his wife, Polly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Geert and Jeltje Dragt.

    Memorial contributions may be sent to the donors favorite Christian charity in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are by Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia.
