Ahnentafel by Philippe Houdry, from various sources, ver. 3 (Aug. 31,
1994) posted by Tom Camfield]:
#Générale##Générale#
{geni:occupation} Princess
{geni:about_me} He married Regintrude of Austrasia, daughter of Dagobert I and Regintrude. They had the following:

1. Daughter of Theodo, married Godefroy, Duke of Alamannia

He also married Folchiade of Salzeburg. They had the following:

1. Theodbert

2. Theobald

3. Tassilo

4. Grimoald

--------------------

There is an uncertainty in who Theodo's wife is that gave birth to our ancestor. Supposedly Regintrud was the daughter of Dagobert I of Austrasia (603-639) and Nathid (his third of many wives 610-642) - they married in 629 (at age 19), and had their eldest son in 637 (at age 27, Clovis II). If their younger daughter Regintrud was Theodo's wife, then she wouldn't be born in 660 (at age 50), but closer to Clovis' birth date. And Regintrud wouldn't be the mother of the eldest children, indicating the existence of an earlier first wife for Theodo.

From the Wikipedia page on Regintrud:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regintrud

Regintrud (also Reginlind and Regentrud), (b. 660-665 d. 730-740) is something of an enigma. The sources quoted by Schreibner indicate that the records show a Regentrud as the sister of Adela of Pfalzel and daughter of king Dagobert I. This is supported by the following:

1. Another Regentrud being listed in the tradition book of the Nonnberg Abbey as regentrudis regina (marking her a Merovingian princess)

2. The names of her sons, through her marriage to duke Theodo of Bavaria, are also Merovingian, that is, from the families of Regentrud and Adela

According to these sources, 8th century witnesses only mention Folchaid as the wife of Theodo. The supposition that queen Regintrud, the benefactor of the abbey founded by Rupert of Salzburg and Theodo mentioned above, must therefore be the wife of Theodo, is attributed to the 15th century historians Suntheim and Aventin.

As an alternative explanation, the sources suggest that Regintrud was the queen of Theudebert, who may have had his support of the abbey attributed instead to his late father, Theodo. After the death of Theudebert, another Regentrud entered the Nonnberg Abbey and later became abbess in 720-725. This is listed in the Salzburger Verbrüderungsbuch in 784.

Assuming the abbess Regentrud and queen Regentrud are the same, she may have entered the abbey on her husbands death. This could explain why the name of Theudeberts wife is excluded in the communion book of St. Peter in respect for her position as abbess. However, much of this is mere speculation based on the individuals named being the same.

The following lineages have been suggested:

1. Daughter of the Seneschal (and Pfalzgraf) Hugobert and Irmina of Oeren.

2. Daughter of Dagobert I

3. Daughter of Childebert III

Children of Regintrud and first husband

1. Pilitrud

Children of Regintrud and Theudebert

1. Hugbert of Bavaria, heir to the duchy

2. Swanachild, wife of Charles Martel

3. Guntrud, wife of Liutprand
