== Synopsis ==
Ráðbarðr, Raðbarðr or Rathbarth (late 7th century) was a legendary king of Garðaríki (Russia), who appears in Sögubrot and the Lay of Hyndla. Of Garderige-Russia.

Sögubrot tells that he married the fugitive princess Auðr the Deep-Minded without the consent of her father king Ivar Vidfamne, who soon departed to punish his daughter. He died, however, on route, and so Ráðbarðr helped Auð's son Harald Wartooth claim his maternal grandfather's possessions in Sweden and Denmark.

Ráðbarðr and Auðr had a son together named Randver.

Radbard av Sverige (Mythical) was born circa 638. Of the 7th Century Saga line. He witnessed the death of Ivarr Vídfadmi Hálfdanarson, King of the Danes and Swedes in 647; He died while sailing for Russia, where he set out to punish his daughter's new husband for marrying Oda without permission, and to do some plundering as well. His boat sank and he drowned in the frigid waters of the Gulf of Finland.1,2 Radbard av Sverige (Mythical) was left Sweden and established a settlement in Russia, becoming King of this settlement before 668. He married Auda Ivarsdóttir, daughter of Ivarr Vídfadmi Hálfdanarson, King of the Danes and Swedes and Gyrita of Jutland, circa 668; Her 2nd. Her lover, Helge the Viking dead at the hands of her husband, Rurik, and Rurik dead at the hands of her father, Ivar, Oda took Harold and left for the Swedish settlements in Russia. There she married King Radbard. Her father disapproved of the marriage, done without his permission.

Aud Djupauga flyktet til Gardariket med sønnen Harald Hildetann og giftet seg med kong Radbart av Gardariket som hun senere fikk sønnen Randver med. Ivar ble oppbrakt over at hans datter hadde giftet seg uten hans tillatelse, og selv om han var gammel dro han til Gardariket med en stor hær. En natt da de hadde ankret opp i Finskebukten fikk han en merkelig drøm og han spurte sin fosterfar Hord (Hörð) om drømmen. Ivar og hans fosterfar sto på en høy klippe mens kongen fortalte. Hord mente at drømmen forutså Ivars død og slutten på hans onde handlinger. Rasende over denne drømmetydningen kastet Ivar seg utenfor klippen og ned i sjøen. Deretter gjorde Hord det samme.

Ettersom både den danske som den svenske tronen var ledig dro Auds sønn Harald fra Gardariket og til Skåne for å kreve sin rett og med støtte fra sin stefar Radbart.
