Notes about Geertje Aldershof

Hendrik en Geertje zijn door armoe gedreven naar Duitsland vertrokken. In Muhlheim a/d Ruhr zijn ze toen een groentewinkeltje begonnen. Toen de wagonlading aardappelen die ze in Nederland besteld hadden kapot gevroren in Duitsland aankwam, waren ze failliet. Ze zijn toen naar Nederland teruggekeerd.

Relatie met de familie Hobers
Geertjes zoon Jan Zwart trouwt met Gooitske Bijker. Via Jans schoonvader Johannes Bijker lopen er verschillende lijnen:
*     Johannes' oudste broer Derk heeft een dochter Hilligje Bijker * 1907; Hilligje trouwt met Remmelt Hobers (zoon van Jurrie Hobers en Jetiena Veldhuis).
*     Schoonzus Gooitske Niezing krijgt een dochter Margien Pool * 1920. Deze Margien trouwt met Albert Hobers (zoon van Willem Hobers en Trijntje Lok).
*     Oom Johannes Bijkers (*1848) tweede echtgenote is Trijntje Strijk. Deze weduwe Trijntje heeft uit haar eerste huwelijk een zoon Hendrik van Dijk. Hendrik is de tweede echtgenoot van Maria Mut. Maria heeft uit haar eerste huwelijk met Thies Weggen een dochter Albertje Weggen, de echtgenote van Jan Hobers (zoon van Albert Hobers en Trijntje Koens).
*     Johannes' neef Geert Bijker (zoon van Lubbertus Bijker) is getrouwd met een Grietje Slomp. Uit die familie Slomp is een andere Grietje Slomp getrouwd met Marinus Hobers (zoon van jan Hobers en Egbertje Entjes).
