Hendrik trouwt met Harmtjen Coerts van Almelo, de kleindochter van Jan van Almelo. Deze Jan van Almelo is ook de stamvader van de Nieuw-Amsterdamse tak van de familie Hobers.
Jan van Almelo's eerste vrouw Jannigjen Hobers is de stammoeder van deze tak.

Als ik alle nakomelingen van stamvader Johann Hobers in deze stamboom zou opnemen, levert dat een enorme hoeveelheid namen op. Dit bevordert echter niet de leesbaarheid. Ik kies erdaarom voor, bij een naamsverandering (Hobers> Van Almelo> Nijmeijer) te stoppen met deze tak van de stamboom.
