Nicolaas Limpens wordt omstreeks 1645 geboren te Schinnen. Hij huwde op 24 oktober 1675 te Schinnen met Maria Pijls. Zij wordt gedoopt op 19 september 1650 te Schinnen. Toen Limpens overleed is hij ongeveer 60 jaar oud. Hij is landeigenaar, herbergier, chirurgijn en schepen van Schinnen van 1698 tot 1705. Verder is hij eigenaar van een hoeve onder Nagelbeek-Schinnen. Ook is hij brouwer op het Banale Panhuis (de latere Schepenbank) te Oirsbeek. Maria Pijls is bij het overlijden bijna 79 jaar oud.
