Notes about Félix Victor Charles "Arthur" Adam

Het station was klaar toen de openingsfeestelijkheden van de spoorlijn daar op 26 oktober 1879 plaatsvonden en werd met dienstorder 80 van 9 oktober 1879 opengesteld.
Uit dit ongemeen boeiende document valt te leren:
- Dat het beschikte over een zijspoor, een laadhelling en een weegbrug.
- Dat het voor een laadkraan beroep kon doen op het depot van Denderleeuw.
- Dat het zijn beestenwagens op tijd en stond naar Aalst moest sturen om ze te laten kuisen.
Vanaf 25 oktober 1881 werd ook een postkantoor in het station van Moorsel ondergebracht. Dat bediende tevens Baardegem en Meldert. Het was toentertijd de gewoonte dat de postbediende de echtgenote van de stationschef was. De eerste stationchef van Moorsel was Felix Victor Adam. Hij werd in februari 1853 in Visé geboren en mocht zich bijgevolg terecht een Waal noemen. Hij was gehuwd met Marie Joséphine Meurer, die in 1851 in Brussel geboren was.

ADAM F,V,C, geboren in 1853. In boek van 1880 : chef de station 5de klasse te Moorsel (?). Eerste aanwerving bij de Spoorwegen : 23/02/1871. Boeken van 1885,1886: chef de station 4de klasse te HAEREN (Groep Brussel-Noord). Boeken van 1887, 1888, 1889, 1890, 1893, 1894 : chef de station 4de klasse te LAEKEN. In 1893 kreeg hij een Médaille civique. In 1895 en 1896 : nog steeds chef de station 4de klasse (graad) maar in station van Denderleeuw (station 3de klasse). In boek van 1897 : graad chef de station 3de klasse (graad) in station Denderleeuw (Groep Brussel Noord).
