    Op 8 juni 1791 dient Anton Ehrenfried een aanklacht in tegen zijn oudere broer Joseph. Anton heeft in 1788 aan Joseph geld en koren gegeven, maar Joseph heeft die schuld niet terugbetaald. " 1791, 8. Juni: Anton Ehrenfried klagt gegen seinen Bruder Joseph; er habe demselben vor 3 Jahren 3 fl an barem Geld, an der vorigen Ernte ferner 2 Sy. Kern à 4 fl gegeben und könne in Güte von demselben nichts erhalten, wolle daher gebethen haben, solchen mit richterlichen Zwangsmitteln hierzu anzuhalten.

    Joseph Ehrenfried wendet gegen diese Forderung nichts ein, er habe aber 1 fl 12 kr zur zackerlohn und Vorspann und einen Kessel abzuziehen, auch wäre der empfangene Kern das geforderte Geld nicht wert gewesen und sein Bruder habe den Kern in natura anzunehmen sich anheischig gemacht.

    Decret (richterliche Verfügung): Joseph Ehrenfried muß seinem Bruder die 3 fl und 2 Simri brauchbares Kern binnen 3 Tagen zustellen; wegen seiner Gegenforderung ist er berechtigt, 1 fl abzuziehen." (Stadtarchiv Ballenberg)
