    Seit Lubbes Denkema is landbouwer, als hij in 1789 trouwt met Anje Jans. De bruidegom komt uit Lutjegast en de bruid komt van 't Dorp, een buurtschap bij Stroobos. Na hun huwelijk vertrekken ze met attestatie naar Sebaldeburen. In 1823 is Seit Lubbes Denkema ouderling. Hij woont dan op 't Dorp. In zijn huis vindt een bijeenkomst plaats, waar de bekende prediker Johan Willem Vijgeboom (1773-1845) voorgaat. De hervormde predikant van Grootegast en Doezum, ds. Jacob Schaink Bolt, vindt Vijgeboom een "geestelijke oproerkraaier, die vele onrijpe vijgen laat vallen."
