    Tussen 1802 en 1835 moet Hermann Devers naar Nederland zijn gegaan. Daar wordt hij meestal Herman of Hermanus Devers genoemd. In de periode van 1835 tot 1868 treedt hij vijf keer op als getuige bij een huwelijk te Den Haag. In 1835 is hij broodbakker, in 1851 is hij bediende, in 1858 is hij werkloos, in 1866 is hij bediende en in 1868 is hij zonder beroep. Bij zijn huwelijk in 1840 wordt als zijn beroep vermeld huisbediende. Als zijn zoon Johan Herman Devers trouwt in 1866, is diens vader Hermanus Devers koffiehuishouder.

    Op 5 augustus 1865 vierden H. M. Devers en J. S. van Dreumel hun 25-jarig huwelijksjubileum in Den Haag.
