  "Stahl, Leonhard, master builder, baptized 11.11.1729 in Bruchsal, died 4.9.1774 in Bruchsal. Leonhard Stahl, the son of Johann Georg Stahl, oversaw virtually every new building project in the Palatinate under Prince-Bishop Franz Christoph von Hutten. In 1748 he supervised the construction of the abbey church in Neresheim in the absence of this teacher Balthasar Neumann, and the following year worked as an assistant to his father on the construction of the Bruchsal Palace in 1749. Following Neumann's death he headed construction projects at the Bruchsal court. He built the Wasserburg (1750-1752) and the Belvedere (1756) and was in charge of the difficult task of carrying out major repairs to Speyer Cathedral from 1756 to 1759. He was involved in realizing Neumann's plans for the restoration of the cathedral in 1772. From 1773 onwards illness significantly limited his ability to work."

  ner aus Deidesheim. Laut den mir von Herrn Pfarrer Wetterer freundlichst
  zur Verfügung gestellten Kirchenbüchern der Hofpfarrei sind folgende Kin-
  der dieser Ehe entsprossen: Joannes Nepomucemus Adamus, geboren den
  7. Mai 1755, gestorben den 9. Aug. 1756; Joannes Georgius Adamus, ge-
  boren den 16. April 1756, gestorben den 14. Juni 1756; Anna Elisabetha
  geboren den 10. September 1757; Joannes Adamus, geboren den 18. Ok-
  tober 1758."
