    Tekst: uit de bekken op 't kerkhof van begraffenissen ontvangen wijlen Bartel Zijtses Hemrica van Leeuwarden. Ontvangen 1-19-6 wegens collecte. Als datum wordt 4-5-1784 genoemd.

    In het archief van Bergum (twaalfde afdeling: kerkelijke zaken, nr 39, blz 240) is er een brief. Het onderwerp: Extract uit het Resolutieboek van het College van Heeren Gedeputeerde Staten van de Provincie Vriesland.

    In die brief is er sprake van de aflossing van een rente van f. 10,50 per jaar aan de Hervormde kerk van Bergum, om ervoor te zorgen dat het graf van Bartele Sytzes Hemrica "niet weder worden geopend". "Zulks tegen den penning twintig of tweehonderd en tien guldens". De bief is van 25-2-1836 en een antwoord op een brief van de Grietman van Tietjerksteradeel van 22-2-1836. Er is sprake van een legaat van de erven van Bartele aan de kerk. Ik begrijp dat Gedeputeerde Staten toestemming geeft. De kerkvoogden van de Hervormde kerk te Bergum moeten erop toezien.

Op 28-4-1752 doet ene Bartel Sytses belijdenis te Leeuwarden. Bij de quotisatie van 1749 is er sprake van een Bartel Sytses "Hemmerka" die timmermansknecht is, maar dit past niet goed bij de welgestelde Hemrica's. Gezin: 1 volwassene . Te betalen: 14-15-0 en de verhoging is 2. Naam is Bartele. De wijk is Noord Vliet. Leeuwarden fol. 704.Op 16-9-1778 is ene Bartel Sytses Hemrica doopgetuige bij de doop van Bartele, zoon van zijn nichtje Anna Hemrica. Zij is een dochter van broer Sierd uit 1713. In 1749 he is a carpentershand in Leeuwarden.

Van zijn leven is dus nog niets bekend w.b. huwelijk en kinderen.From a marriage or children nothing is known.

Via het archief van de Leeuwarder Courant toch wat gevonden.Op 12-3-1757 wordt hij genoemd: bij hem is er inzage van het bestek van het afbreken en de de herbouw van een schuur te Warrega van Cornelis Tymens. De inzage is op 't Slot van 't Vliet bij Leeuwarden.De timmermansknecht uit 1749 is gegroeid. Ook op 11-2-1761 is er bij hem een bestek in te zien op 't Slot van 't Vliet buiten Leeuwarden. Verder wordt hij genoemd op 6-4-1769 en op 15-3-1770: meer onderrigt over een bouwwerk bij Bartel Hemrica.

Op 28-6-1784 verkoopt notaris Nieuwenhuis het huis van Bartel Sytses Hemrica wegens zijn overlijden.: een huizinge en fraye Hovinge (tuin) gelegen op 't Slot van 't Vliet.
