(Slagerij in de Wybrand de Geeststraat. Op 22-3-1944 slagerij en woonhuis zwaar beschadigd bij bombardement. Moest toen op 51 jarige leeftijd weer helemaal opnieuw beginnen. Laatste adres was: de Bird32-4, Leeuwarden.) (5-5-1924 obligatielening f. 6000.-- van mevr. Hiske Susana Maria Stind Wed. van Jean Matthieu Joseph Bär. te Harlingen.rente per half jaar naar 5 1/2 %. ingaande 12-5-1924. 1e Hypotheek Wybrand de Geeststraat 2. kadastraal nr. G. 9265 één are 45 centiare.)

(Bommen op de Wijbrand de Geeststraat.

Op woensdagavond 22-3-1944 vielen er bommen in de stad Leeuwarden. Het bleken blindgangers te zijn t.g.v. een bombardement van het vliegveld te Leeuwarden door het 105e Squadron Mosquito's van de RAF. Het waren er vier stuks die o.a. op de Ambachtschool en op enkel huizen in de Wijbrand de Geestraat vielen; één ervan viel op straat. Één hoek van de Ambachtschool lag geheel in puin, tien huizen waren onbewoonbaar, verscheidene waren met de grond gelijk gemaakt. Er waren 4 doden te betreuren. De stroom viel gedeeltelijk uit, waardoor de verlichting en de sirenes buiten werking waren.

Het pand van slagerij Yntema niet rechtstreeks getroffen maar doorde luchtdruk waren de bovenste verdiepingen verwoest. 's Nachts is het pand volledig uitgebrand. Het gezin heeft tot de herbouw in 1949/50 onderdak gevonden in het aangrenzende pand in de Jakob van Aakenstraat
