Johannes en Marianne wilden na hundoodbij hun zoon begraven worden, maar omdat zij nietgetrouwdwaren, kregen zij daar van de kerkenraad geentoestemmingvoor. Johannes van Rossum werd in 1873 begravenop hetkerkhof van Erbach, waar tien jaar later ookMariannebegraven zou worden. Het is echter alleen de naamvanMarianne die te lezen is op de grafsteen.
