Hij woonde en werkte alskuiper van het Dorp af gezien rechts van de Goudsche Vliet,achter de huisjes aan de Goudseweg, die afgebroken zijn.Het huis met een klokgevel stond pal langsde GoudscheVliet, ongeveer aan de overkant van het snoepwinkeltje vanVan Buren. Vanaf het Dorp liep er een pad rechts langs deGoudsche Vliet naar het huis, waaraan ook een losplaats wasvoor "schouwen/boten", genaamd 'Het Schutgooi'.
