    Het meest markante gebouw in Stolwijk is de 45 meterhogetoren bij de Nederlands Hervormde Kerk, die op alouderefundamenten gebouwd werd in 1501. Oorspronkelijk wasdetoren nog 9 meter hoger maar in 1717 waaide de spits erafen is de huidige spits er voor teruggeplaatst. In 1946werdde laat-gotische, Kempische toren gerestaureerd.Daarbijwerd de scheefgezakte toren rechter gezet, namenlijkvanzo'n 1,35 meter uit het lood terug naar 'maar'85centimeter uit lood. Mede daardoor is de 'Stollukse'toreneen markant herkenningspunt in de wijde omgeving.
    De aan de toren vastgebouwde kerk staat op defundamentenvan een vroegere kerk, die stamt uit de jaren1375 tot1400. In 1948 werd het slecht geconstrueerde engefundeerdeoude kerkgebouw helemaal afgebroken en volledigopnieuwopgebouwd. De nieuwe kerk werd opgetrokken metstenen dieafkomstig waren van het in de Tweede Wereldoorlogdoor eenbombardement verwoeste Bezuidenhout in Den Haag. Dekerkoogt als een zeer oud gebouw maar werd na de herbouwin1949 opnieuw in gebruik genomen en is dus van eennogrelatief recente datum.
