    Het zich in de strijd onderscheiden hebben dooruitstekendedaden van moed, beleid en trouw, bedreven alscommandantvan een Infanterie-compagnie van het 2eInfanterie-bataljonder Mariniers-brigade van Maart 1946 totAugustus 1947 endaarna als Staf-officier operatiën, bijdeMariniers-brigade, tijdens de politiële actie in 1947enbij de pacificering van het bij deze actie wederonderNederlands gezag gebrachte gebied;
    door het uitvoeren van een groot aantal verkennings-enbeveiligingspatrouilles in het door de extremistenbezettegebied, het voorbereiden en uitvoeren vanverscheideneacties op grotere schaal, bij welke patrouillesen actiestezamen aan de extremisten zware verliezen ook aanmunitieen wapens werden toegebracht, bij welke acties deeigenverliezen zeer gering bleven;
    hebbende hij gedurende deze acties vele malen blijkgegevenvan persoonlijke moed, uitstekend beleid, juistinzicht engrote doortastenheid, door zich zonder eigenlevensgevaarte achten, onder het vuur van de tegenpartijaan het hoofdvan zijn troep te stellen en deze door zijnmoedig voorgaantot bijzondere prestaties te bezielen;
    waarbij in het bijzonder te vermelden:
    1e. de aanval op het wegenkruispunt nabij KampongLegoendiop 21 November 1946.
    2e. het forceren van de overgang over het Kemasan-Kanaalop8 Januari 1947.
    in welke beide gevallen hij aan het hoofd van zijn troepdeaanval leidde.
    3e. de zware nachtelijke tocht van de gemotoriseerdecolonnetijdens de bezettingsacties tegen Modjokerto van 17op 18Maart 1947.
    4e. de gecombineerde actie van de bezetting van AsemBagoesop 5 September 1947.
