Militiereg. 1891. Vertrok uit tilburg naar Gestel op 10 mei 1881. Student Godgeleerdheid. Tot den dienst aangewezen.
Adrianus werd op 4 juni 1898 tot priester gewijd. RK-priester en rector.
Vestigde zich vanuit Haaren in Goirle op 5 augustus 1899 en vertrok naar Millingen (Gld) op 7 november 1899.

In de Tilburgse Courant 2 juni 1917, De Tilburger Adr. P. Hamers heeft als Brabantse componist veel bijgedragen aan de verbeteringen van het volkslied. Volgens de heer Vincent Cleerdin.
Componeerde Brabants volkslied "Ik houd van m'n Brabant ! Lied in den Volkstoon op.25" ook H.J.M. Donders. Uitgave W. Bergmans Tilburg 1923 tweede druk. Prijs: f 0.90.(in bibliotheek R.H.C. Tilburg onder nr. 5360)

Adriaan P. Hamers geboren te Tilburg 14 juli 1871, priester gewijd 4 juni 1898, rector te Goirle en Oisterwijk, kapelaan te Millingen, Dussen en St. Antonis. In 1918 werd hij pastoor te Deursen. Hij overleed te Oosterhout op 13 juli 1929 en werd begraven te Tilburg. Hij was schrijver van geestelijke en wereldlijke liederen. Hij schreef o.a. tientallen zogenaamde ´Liederen in de volkstoon´, die bij W. Bergmans in Tilburg werden uitgegeven. (Bron: RAT)

Adriaan Petrus Hamers (Tilburg 1871 - Oosterhout 1929) werd in 1898 tot priester gewijd. Hij was achtereenvolgens rector te Goirle (1899), kapelaan te Millingen (1899), Dussen (1902) en St. Anthonis (1903), rector te Oisterwijk (1913) en pastoor teDeursen (1918-1928). Hij was een verdienstelijk tekstschrijver en componist van geestelijke en wereldlijke liederen. Hamers schreef tientallen zogenaamde Liederen in volkstoon, die bij Drukkerij/Boekhandel Bergmans werden uitgegeven. Het meeste succes had hij met zijn Psalterke: 105 geestelijke liederen voor kerk, school en huisgezin, waarvan er meer dan tweehonderdduizend in vele drukken werden verkocht. Hamers maakte voor zijn composities gebruik van gedichten van onder anderen Antonius van Delft en Henri Donders.
