(Research):Bijgaand foto's uit 2007 van de Nederlands Hervormde kerk waar Siebe Riekeles de Boer kerkvoogd was. Een afbeelding van de losstaande toren met gemetselde spits en een foto van het interieur en de kerkenraadsbanken waar Siebe menig uurtje doorgebracht zal hebben. In notariële akten wordt hij tussen 1870 en 1875 genoemd. In die tijd werd veel gekocht en verkocht door de kerkvoogdij om kerkelijke gelden zo optimaal mogelijk te laten renderen. Van deze periode (waar meerdere kerkvoogden in de Nederlands Hervormde kerk van Surhuizum een taak hadden) heeft hij veel geleerd want na zijn periode als kerkvoogd zien we hem en zijn zoon Hendrik telkens terugkomen in de aan- en verkoop van grond en vastgoed.
