Leentje is genoemd naar haar zusje, dat het jaar ervoor is overleden (11 jaar oud). Ze is op 21 jarige leeftijd getrouwd. Op het feest was veel familie aanwezig (getuige de foto's). Samen met haar man Gerrit hebben ze twee kinderen gekregen, Wil en Riet. Toen ze van een derde kindje in verwachting was is ze in het ziekenhuis in Almelo overleden aan buikvliesontsteking. Ook haar kindje heeft ze toen verloren. Ze zijn samen in dezelfde kist begraven.
