Boer te Ferwerd (eigenaar stem 39); in 1698, 1700 en 1708 zijn zijn erven hiervan eigenaar o.a. schoonzoon Jacob Jans n.ux. voor 25%.
Hij trouwde op 24-11-1632 in Leeuwarderadeel voor het gerecht met Hiske Folckerts uit Wier, geboren 1610, overleden 8-8-1644 te Ferwerd, oud 33 jaar, volgens grafschrift te Ferwerd. Zij was een dochter van Folckert Eernstes en Sijke Nannesdr.
Uit dit huwelijk 2 zoons, Dirk en Folkert, en misschien een dochter Grietje.
Gerrit was doopsgezind.
LWL 143-34: Gerrit Dirks Gerbranda te Ferwerd koopt land te Stiens (pr.d.d. 13/11, 20/11 en 4/12/1647).
HvF-16780-320/325 d.d. 23-9-1678: Registratie van het testament van Gerrit Dirks, gemaakt op 3-12-1677, waarbij zijn vrouw Ytske Radbodus en zijn 6 kinderen tot universeel erfgenaam over zijn goederen werden aangewezen; verder kregen de 6 kinderen ieder 2500 goudguldens. Dirk Gerrits is de oudste zoon, Folkert Gerrits de tweede zoon; de oudste dochter Hiske is getrouwd met Romke Douwes, de tweede dochter met Pier Foppes; de jongste dochter Lysbet is nog niet getrouwd en minderjarig. Tot ze 25 wordt zal Romke Douwes voor haar het beheer voeren.
