Sjoerd Andrys, schipper te Oenkerk, oud 57 jaar, verklaart dat hij donderdagavond laatstleden met zijn vrouw koffie was gaan drinken bij zijn buurman Johannes Wybes; toen ze omstreeks 10 uur weer thuis kwamen was de deur los, een kast was opengebroken, een bedrag van £ 38 wordt vermist. Getuige heeft niets gezien, maar verdenkt Jan Klases, de voorzoon van Johannes Wybes' vrouw; heeft Jan Klases hierover aangesproken, waarna het geld stiekem is teruggebracht; Jan Klases is inmiddels vertrokken (zie pag. 220)
