Bij hun huwelijk is hij van Wanswerd, zij van Hallum.
1683: het echtpaar huurt de sate van het Sint Anthoon te Wanswerd, groot 51 pm, voor 600 goudg per jaar (GJ2016, p.185).
Kinderen: ~1684 Riemke, ~1688 Romke, ~1695 Pier (Gegevens via Simon Wierstra).
Dirck was in 1698 gebruiker van SC11 te Wanswerd. Hij volgde daar zijn grootvader Upt op. In 1728 is zijn zoon Pier daar gebruiker.
In 1698 is Dirk Abes curator over Romke Ulbes op SC20 te Britsum; is Romke een neef?
In 1731 koopt Rixt Romkes, weduwe van Dirk Abes te Wanswerd, "zekere deftige stemdragende zathe lands ... zingels en watermolen" (Goslingastate) ald., groot 88 pm (Stem 1), gebruikt door Harmen Abeles, waaruit een jaarlijkse rente van 4 goudg aan Tjerk Abes te Blija gaat, met "vrije swanejecht en een stoel in de kerke" van Wolffgangh thoe Schwartzenbergh en Hohelandsberg, grietman van Menaldumadeel, voor 76 goudg per pm, spiering van de verkoop door Catharina van Haaren wegens haar zoon Douwe Syrtema van Grovestins (GJ2016 p.185).
