OFO IV-2 d.d. 29-8-1405: Roomskoning Maximiliaan bevestigt Peter het eigen recht op Ameland. Zie ook OFO II-8 d.d. 29-8-1405 over het verlenen van dit eigen recht aan Ameland door Oostergo en Westergo.
In 1422 genoemd met zijn zwager Taecke als zij als Vetkopers een verbond sluiten met de Schieringers.
OFO I-52 d.d. 8-3-1431: hij maakt een beschikking voor Camminghaburg als hij zonder kinderen/kleinkinderen zou sterven. Dan zou zijn zuster Wick erven.
Hij behoorde tot de Vetkopers en was 1435/1437 grietman van Leeuwarderadeel (zie OFO I-73 d.d. 3-10-1437).
Hij was bezitter van de stins Camminghaburg bij Leeuwarden en was daarom in 1435 tegen de vereniging van Hoek met Leeuwarden (zie OFO II-21 d.d. 21-1-1435).
OFO II-214 d.d. 1439: als voogd betrokken bij boedelscheiding.
Hij wordt ook genoemd in GPCV d.d. 21-1-1435 en 29-9-1437.
Peter Kammengha van Ameland testeerde ziek van lichaam op 8-5-1440 te Leeuwarden (zie F.T.11 en OFO II-215).
In dit testament wordt zijn vrouw driemaal vermeld als Zyce of Zyca en ook zijn 4 kinderen worden met namen genoemd.
Zijn stiefzoon Rienck Camstra zegelt ook.
Camminghaburg liet hij na aan zijn zoon Sicke.
