Boer te Ferwerd (1748 gebruiker stem 28 en 29; 1758 en 1768 gebruiker stem 34 en 35; 1768 ook eigenaar en gebruiker stem 25; 1778 gebruiker stem 35 en eigenaar stem 25). Qout. 1749: Jacob Johannes, gemeen boer te Ferwerd, 3+2,42-9-0 + 13-0-0.
Lidmaat D.G. Holwerd na volwassendoop op 21-5-1747.

In 1762 koopt hij land van Titia Margaretha van Coenders en tekent daarvoor een schuldbekentenis (T327-251).
Na zijn overlijden worden curatoren benoemd voor dochter Tjitske (19 jaar) uit zijn eerste huwelijk n.l. Pieter Andries, boer te Ferwerd en Klaas Rienks, boer te Ferwerd (FER 39 d.d. 8-4-1782). N.B. Dit is hoogstwaarschijnlijk Jitske.
Als zijn weduwe in 1787 gaat hertrouwen, worden zijn broer Jakle Johannes, boer te Ferwerd en zijn zwager Willem Joukes benoemd als curatoren over de kinderen uit zijn tweede huwelijk n.l. Biense, Jouke, Ytje en Klaas (FER 39 d.d. 30-4-1787).
