Zie het gedegen onderzoek van wijlen Onno Hellinga in GJB 2009-51.
Hij verwijst daar naar het testament van Eescke Gerck Tyessens dochter d.d. 5-10-1554 waarbij zij haar nicht Auck "die dochter van Hoyt Tyessens" een sate te Ee laat erven.

Anderen hebben hier als ouders Hoyte Syuerdts Tjessens en Lyoets Jarichsdr, maar dit is volgens Wierstra niet juist.

Douwe Sickes Galama was misschien gehuwd met Auck Hoytesdr van Tjessens.
