Albrecht was eerst auditeur van de Rekenkamer in ’s Gravenhage, later ‘Commies van 's Konings finacien’ te Brussel, onder meer belast met het innen van de Tiende van Alva. Hij was beleend te Voorburg, Delft, Ruiven, Wateringen en ‘s Gravenhage. In Brussel woonde hij in het huis De Struys in de Gulden Straat, naast het huis De Keyser.
