Hij woonde te Warga en staat op 5-1-1505 op de lijst van Friese edelen (T342-05,62).
In 1510 genoemd als grietman van Idaarderadeel.
Bij R.v.A.1511 heeft Douwe Juwsma van Warga veel bezit,o.a.ook te Wirdum.
Hij testeerde op 1-10-1529 te Warga (OFO III-45 en F.T.124); hij heeft dan een zoon Oene, een zoon Watze in klooster Foswerd en dochters His en Kunier; hij wil begraven worden te Warga bij zijn vrouw His.
Niet genoemd bij R.v.A te Wirdum in 1540.
In 1543 genoemd als grondbezitter te Warga (BB 120b) en samen met zijn broer Juw als voogden over Oencke, dochter van zijn zoon Oene (BB 122b). Maar Douwe en Juw leven in 1543 niet meer.
