Dit echtpaar heeft enige jaren in Meppel gewoond en daar zijn in ieder geval twee kinderen geboren, Seerp (Sierop) en Douwe. Seerp is jong overleden, maar Douwe is rond 1775 met zijn ouders naar Achlum verhuisd en hij is op 10-10-1833 te Achlum overleden als zijnde Douwe Jelles Jellema en in die overlijdensakte staat vermeld dat hij een zoon was van Jelle Seerps en Akke Cornelis. Cornelis Jelles zou in Meppel geboren kunnen zijn rond 1772 als tweede zoon, genoemd naar zijn opa van moeders kant, maar de doopakte is nergens te vinden, helaas.
