Hij woonde in 1496 met zijn vrouw op Wibrandastate te Schraard.
Pax-168 d.d. 8-7-1496: hij gaat namens Schraard akkoord met het verbond tussen Westergo en Groningen.
Hij was als aanvoerder betrokken bij de opstand tegen de hertog van Saksen in 1500.
Op 5-1-1505 met zijn broer Epe op de lijst van Friese edelen (T342-05, 62).

Notitie bij Sjoert: Sjoerd (Syurd) Aeluwa verdronk in het jaar 1509 toen hij bij een overstroming zijn vee probeerde te redden.
Zij woonden lang te Schraard, op een boerderij die Sits van haar grootvader Agge Waltha heeft geërfd.
in 1515 wordt het huis van ’Syurds Aeluwa te Schraerd’ door Gelderse troepen in brand gestoken. (hij is dan al overleden)
