Het was dezelfde Jacob Ypes Humalda die zich toen noemde naar zijn boerderij en hij trouwde op 15 juni 1727 te Anjum met Lijsbeth Reitses Iepma.
Jacob nam een vooraanstaande positie in het dorp in, want hij was mederechter en bijzitter van de grietenij (gemeente) Oostdongeradeel, de laatste functie is vergelijkbaar met een wethouder nu.
Daarnaast was hij tevens ontvanger van de 'duikelhoofden' (heeft iets te maken met de bescherming van de kwelders volgens mij). Toch steeg het succes hem naar het hoofd, want dat hij zich liet begraven in hetzelfde graf als zijn adellijke naamsgenoten is toch wel heel vreemd en is bij mijn weten niet vaker vertoond.
Ook zijn vrouw en kleinzoon liggen hier begraven.
