OFO II-319 d.d. 7-11-1524: voor zijn huwelijk met Ath wordt een overeenkomst gemaakt door zijn moeder Wick en de ouders van Ath.
HvF 16480-223 d.d. 30-10-1528: Hector Hoxwier als eiser.
HvF 16480-335 d.d. 2-3-1529: Hector en moeder Wick als eisers.
Bij RvA 1540 met bezit te Wirdum, dat in 1511 stond op naam van moeder Wick.

ingeschreven universiteit Pavia, 1534. ridder, heer van Reynouwen. In 1533 werd hij met nog 17 andere mannen benoemd om 's lands privilegiën voor te staan, voor te spreken en toe te zien dat op dezelve geen inbreuk geschiedde. Hij, Upke Burmania, Syts Tjaarda en Sicke Dekema, werden met bijzondere magt bekleed. In 1538 werd hij raad in den hove van Friesland, in 1540 president van het hof van Utrecht. Hij werd tot vele en gewigtige bezendingen zoo voor den keizer naar buitenlandsche vorsten als bij den keizer zelf gebruikt. De laatste schonk hem de Vliesorde. Hij was een geleerd man, scherpzinnig regtsgeleerde, bevriend met Hopperus en Viglius. Hy huwde 1. Ath Herema , 2. Doed Holdinga, die na zijn. overlyden (2 Julij 1546) hertrouwde met Jan van den Boetselaar van Asperen. Zijne dochters huwden in de aanzienlijkste huizen.

Hector, jurist en waterstaatkundige, was zaakwaarnemer van Viglius van Aytta (die meestal in het buitenland verkeerde) voor zijn goederen in Friesland (Ayttastate in Swichum). Hector correspondeerde wel met Erasmus. Raadsheer bij het Hof van Friesland, later president van het Hof van Utrecht. [Hoxwier, Hector van]
HOXWIER (Hector van), oudste zoon van Aesga van Hoxwier en Wick van Dekama, overl. te Utrecht in 1547. Hij studeerde te Leuven, daarna te Parijs en in Italië in de rechten, werd I.U. Dr., in 1538 raad in het Hof van Friesland en in 1541 president van het Hof van Utrecht. Tal van commissies en gezantschappen zijn door hem vervuld. Viglius van Aytta, met wien hij in briefwisseling stond, roemt hem zeer. In Friesland speelde hij een rol als een der gedeputeerden, welke door den Landdag in 1532 werden belast met de handhaving der friesche vrijheden, waartoe mede behoorde de invordering en bewaring in een ‘gemeene kiste’ van het Landboek van Kempo van Martena.
Tweemaal is hij gehuwd geweest, eerst met Ath van Herema, later met Doedt van Holdinga.
