Hij werd priester gewijd op 21 dec 1850, onderpastoor benoemd te Perk op 7 juli 1851, onderpastoor van Sinte-Gertrudis te Leuven op 30 maart 1859, pastoor benoemd te Veltem op 19 dec 1860 alwaar hij als herder verbleef tot op 27 nov. 1882.
Hij was eigenaar van verschillende percelen gelegen aan de Walemhoeve, in het Heisbreoek, aan Roost en op de Puddegemheide Het blok met huis en hof, gelegen in de Keer-bergenstraat en dat op bet einde van de XVIe eeuw toebehoorde aan Hendrik Ricx, was eveneens zijn eigendom. (Dr Jos Cools)
