Hypothese 1: Op basis van de meters van de twee kinderen is Maria Verbruggen even belangrijk als zijn schoonmoeder.

Jan is de zoon van een broer van Marcus. Hij groeide mogelijks op in het gezin van Marcus en Maria V. (zie ook: hceulemans)

Hypothese 2: Henricus Bogaerts is hoogst waarschijnlijk een nonkel of grootvader van deze Jan. Ik vind echter geen Henricus in Lier of Berlaar die voldoet.
