Ze heeft heel lang in Amsterdam gewoont toen mijn tante Stien nog leefde,toen die bij een grote brand om het leven is gekomen, is opoe naar Emmen gekomen en heeft ze vele jaren bij mijn ouders gewoont. Het overlijden van mijn vader heeft ze nog bewust meegemaakt. Daarna werd ze steeds meer in de war en kon ze eigenlijk niet langer thuis blijven wonen en is ze dus naar de verpleeginrichting gegaan. Ze heeft het overlijden van onze moeder niet bewust meer meegekregen. Wat heeft ze wat meegemaakt hè? Opoe is in Meppel begraven op de algemene begraafplaats, waar ook haar man Geert ligt, hij is overleden op 30 maart 1942 in Meppel.
