Zoon van landbouwer Jan – 'iezere Hennes' - Teeuwen (3 juni 1840 Blerick, gemeente Maasbree - 17 november 1925 Maasbree) en Anna Maria Peeters (2 januari 1846 Helden – 16 februari 1902 Helden). Gehuwd op 8 april 1907 met Beatrix Daniels (29 augustus 1878 Helden – 22 mei 1925 Helden). Het echtpaar had acht kinderen. Kantonnier gemeente Helden. Rooms-Katholiek. Op de dag van de plaatselijke bevrijding is hij doodgeschoten. Teeuwen was van huis gegaan om enkele schapen die aangelijnd op een stukje groenland graasden te verplaatsen. De 72-jarige hardhorende Teeuwen zou een aanroep van Duitsers om te blijven staan niet hebben gehoord en werd meteen door hen neergeschoten. Zijn lichaam mocht van de Duitsers niet worden weggehaald. Dat gebeurde pas de volgende dag toen Helden en Panningen waren bevrijd. Met behulp van geallieerde militairen is het lichaam geborgen.
