Cees en zijn broer Piet trouwen tegelijkertijd. Piet gaat wonen in het huis van de ouders van zijn vrouw Riek. in Hoog Casteren. Cees en Maria daar tegenover.
Zij nemen gezamenlijk het bedrif over eerlijk erdeeld en voeren het ook jarenlang in goede samenwerking. Ook gronden uit Moergestel (ouderlijk bedrijf van Maria v.d. Ven) wordt er bij betrokken. Samen een auto een D.K.W. en samen de eerste telefoon. 1950 werd een perceel op de Broekenseindse heide verruilt voor de Landschotse heide. In 1963 werden de koeien geruimd, vanwege de besmetelijke ziekte: Abortus Bang. Omschakelen naar een gesloten fok-mestbedrijf.
In 1960 werd het woonhuis aan de moderne eisen aangepast m.b.v. de voorlichting. en 27-02-1962 officieel geopend met alle notabelen er bij.
Vader (Opa) woont altijd bij Piet en Riek in. ook zussen Hendrika en Adriana tot hun trouwen.
In 1980 verhuizen zij naar de Vessemseweg 16 ook in Hoogeloon met de 4 jongste kinderen.
De familie heeft veel met paarden en pnys.
