Il était étudiant en théologie au séminaire de Liège lorsqu’il reçut le 13 novembre 1743 en vue de son ordination aux Ordres majeurs une rente de son père François Vieillevoye et de son cousin de Henri-Chapelle Jean Campo qui fut complétée le 19 novembre 1743 au presbytère de Sprimont par un don de 30 écus de son oncle Jean-Michel Frambach curé et de son cousin Michel Dumoulin marchand à Verviers (Patrimoine presbytéraux, vol.20, p.161) . Il fut d’abord vicaire de Sprimont, prit possession de la cure de Harzé le 21 avril 1762 et le 27 octobre 1765 de la cure de Sprimont, à la suite de la résignation en sa faveur de son oncle le curé Jean Michel Frambach, avec le consentement du collateur l’abbé et prince de Stavelot et le placet de Sa Majesté donné en son Conseil du Brabant le 17 octobre 1765 (Fonds des notaires, J.Thomassin). L’ex-curé Jean Michel Frambach testa le 20 janvier 1766 (Fonds des notaires, L.Leclercq ). Le curé de Sprimont Gaspard Vieillevoye décéda le 27 décembre 1769 .Richard Ferdinand Joseph Decerf lui succéda .
