Fastré Baré Surlet, jadis maître de Liège, relève le 18 juillet 1451, la seigneurie de Chokier " à luy ledit Fastré Baré Surlet escheu et devolu sique biens venans du costé comme proisme, par l'obit et succession de sire Jehan Surlet, chanoine et prévost d'Eike en l'Eglise de Liège, jadit seigneur dudit Chokier, ..." (cour féodale de Hesbaye, fol.109).
