Dans un acte de la cour de Durbuy (Justice et Rôles, 1557-1558, reg.54, f°75 à 77v°), il est qualifié d'oncle du grand Helman de Hamoir et frère légitime de Counet Contraire.

En outre il y est dit gentilhomme de noble extraction et généalogie, portant escu et armes.
