Le 16 janvier 1456, Thomas de Husyer, prètre et pasteur de l'église paroissiale de Saint-Géréon de Malmédy, fait un accord avec Pierre, fils de Jean Gérard de Malmédy, au sujet de certains droits sur la chapelle ou vicariat de Buttgenbach (Halkin et Roland, Recueil des Chartes de l'abbaye de Stavelot-Malmédy, Tome II, page 667). Il fut remplacé dans sa charge par l'abbé Herman Hoemen dès le 28 juin 1459.
