Notes about Jehan BONIVER

Cité pour la première fois le 16 octobre 1475, manant à Rainoufosse, exploitant de forge. Il a encore été cité vivant le 17 décembre 1526 mais était décédé le 20 juillet 1529. ------ La forge de Rainoufosse, probablement créée par Bertrand se composait d'un fourneau et d'un marteau. Le fourneau fut supprimé dès 1474 et le marteau passa aux enfants de Jehan. Au plus tard en 1531, l'usine fut scindée en deux forges platinantes qui, à partir de 1572, sont aux mains des Boniver et des Fyon, descendants en ligne directe de Jehan.En 1611, Jean Gavet acquis une participation aux deux forges.
