Notes about Jean de PRESSEUX

Ce Jean, qui est cité dans l'acte du 27 juin 1550, où son père Jacquemin, Jean et Englebert, ses frères, avec lui-mème, engagent leurs biens comme caution pour sa nomimation au titre de receveur. Il est cité mayeur de Theux dès 1542, il doit donc être né d'un premier mariage de Jacquemin ( son mariage avec Marie Mononclin date de 1519) resté inconnu ou s'agit il d'un fils bâtard! Jean est décédé à Theux en 1601 et est inhumé dans la chapelle Sainte-Anne à Theux sous une pierre portant pour toute inscription, sans armes ni blason: " Icy repose en Dieu honnest homme Jehan de Presseux l'an 1601".
